Leeanne Shaw born in Australia
1965, worked with Ketut Siandana to complete the interior.

Ketut and I had an uncanny sense of choosing the same
texture, textile and colors at the same time. We soon
found that our own personal visions were one and the same.
We used natural earthy colors with local fabrics of rich
texture. Antique wood played a large part of our décor,
whether it be an old rice container to part of an ancient
weaving machine, always keeping the ambiance of a secluded
island in mind. In keeping with this theme we commissioned
a young local Lembongan artist Wayan Ujian, his contemporary
works adorn our art gallery and villas.
The emphasis was on style and serenity, even our staff
uniforms blend in with the surroundings, again using natural
materials of calico and leather combined with wood and
silver jewelry. |
